Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will be making his first appearance in West London since being sacked by Chelsea in December but despite a disappointing end to his tenure at the club, Conte wants to see his opposite number respected ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash.
The 47-year-old told reporters: “He won three championships here and was an important man to the club. I think he deserves a good reception because, I repeat, he wrote with the players and staff a part of the story of this club.
“He becomes, like the players of Man United, an enemy but only on the sporting aspect. I have great respect for him. I am sure that he is a great manager and he has won a lot in his career. He deserves great respect.”
