Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel suffers broken hand, faces one month on sidelines

According to Sky Sports News, Schmeichel suffered the injury while punching clear a cross in the first period of Leicester’s 0-0 draw with Copenhagen in Denmark.

The Danish international played on for more than one hour with the injury, but a scan revealed a break and the stopper will now see a specialist on Thursday to determine the best course of action in terms of a recovery.

The 29-year-old will miss Premier League games against West Bromwich Albion, Watford, Middlesbrough and Sunderland, in addition to Leicester’s next Champions League group match against Club Brugge.
