Andre Marriner to officiate Premier League clash between Manchester United and Arsenal at Old Trafford

Andre Marriner has officiated eight top-flight games so far this season, including Jose Mourinho ‘s first competitive match in charge of the Red Devils at Bournemouth in August.

The 45-year-old, who has booked 29 players and sent off just one this term, has not run the rule over an Arsenal game in 2016-17 and has never previously reffed in this high-profile fixture.

Mourinho has previously openly criticised the Birmingham whistler, who was the fourth official for Chelsea’s meeting with Tottenham Hotspur in January 2015 when Eden Hazard was denied what looked to be a certain penalty.
