Huddersfield Town announced on Tuesday that Tom Ince, Kasey Palmer and Danny Williams had all agreed to represent the Terriers next season and they have wasted little time in revealing that a fourth transfer in less than 24 hours had been made official.
The 22-year-old makes the switch to the John Smith’s Stadium for an undisclosed fee, but it has been reported that the newly-promoted Premier League side have paid in the region of £10m for his signature.
Head coach David Wagner told the club’s official website: “I’m delighted that we could sign Steve ahead of the start of pre-season training. He has a very exciting combination of attributes that makes his a very attractive proposition as a young striker.”
Last season, Mounie netted 14 goals in 35 appearances in Ligue 1.
