Cristiano Ronaldo makes U-turn on decision to leave Real Madrid this summer

Reports emerged last month claiming that the Portugal international wanted out of the Spanish capital following accusations of tax evasion to the tune of almost £13m.

The four-time Ballon d’Or winner was understood to be angry at his treatment at the hands of the Spanish authorities, and his decision to leave put a number of Europe’s top clubs on high alert.

However, AS claims that the 32-year-old’s stance has since softened and he is now open to the idea of staying with the Spanish and European champions.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were among the clubs to be linked with the Portugal captain, who is currently on holiday with his family in Ibiza following the birth of his newborn twins.
