RB Leipzig rejects Liverpool’s £66m bid for Naby Keita

Recently, Liverpool had a £57m bid turned down as RB Leipzig stand firm on their stance that the Guinea international will not be sold this summer.

Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz has told German publication Sport1 that there was “no way” that the club were going to accept the Reds’ improved offer.

“We want to improve and consolidate the club,” he added. “We do not sell any players who are still under contract just to make a lot of money.”

The Reds have been pursuing the Guinea international for some time, but they have so far been unsuccessful.
