Los Angeles Clippers destroy Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs secure back-to-back wins


Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Chris Paul, JJ Redick and Luc Mbah a Moute all starred as the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 119-105 to a sixth successive victory.


The Spurs claimed back-to-back wins with a 106-100 triumph at the Houston Rockets.

Tim Hardaway Jr. helped the in-form Atlanta Hawks past the Philadelphia 76ers 117-96, while the Toronto Raptors extended their unbeaten run with a 118-107 win against the New York Knicks.

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls were also among the winners.

Hardaway Jr led the way with 20 points as the Hawks (7-2) won a fourth consecutive game.

The Raptors (7-2) extended their streak to three games after seeing off the Knicks thanks to DeMar DeRozan’s 33 points.


The Lakers won back-to-back games after accounting for the New Orleans Pelicans 126-99.

Jimmy Butler posted 37 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and three steals to inspire the Bulls to a 106-95 win over the Washington Wizards.

The Brooklyn Nets were too good for the Phoenix Suns 122-104, the Milwaukee Bucks trumped the Memphis Grizzlies 106-96, the Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 105-99, the Miami Heat lost 102-91 to the Utah Jazz, while the Detroit Pistons triumphed 106-95 against the Denver Nuggets.

Reigning champions the Cleveland Cavaliers host the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. The Golden State Warriors take on the Suns.
