West Ham to pay £20m to sign Simone Zaza on permanent deal if he plays another 10 games

Simone Zaza’s agent previously claimed that a clause in the Italian’s contract meant he would be signed permanently from Juventus after 10 matches, but The Sun reports that the actual figure is 14 games.

It is also suggested that only Premier League fixtures and appearances in the latter stages of cup competitions count, so Zaza will need to feature a further 10 times before hitting the milestone which triggers his sale.

The 25-year-old’s loan move is said to have cost West Ham £5m to push through, a season on from scoring five goals in 19 outings for Juventus.
