Welcome to the Evening Standard’s LIVE coverage of the Premier League clash between Manchester City and Everton.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola said in the build-up to this match that he would need to ‘pray’ in order to beat Liverpool to the title next season. Well, it’s going to take a lot more than that this time…

City are 14-points behind the league leaders and this evening they face a tough test in the shape of a rejuvenated Everton.

Carlo Ancelotti has won both of his matches in charge since becoming manager, and Everton – thanks to Duncan Ferguson’s spell as interim boss also – are on a run of six matches without defeat.

But who will come out on top? James Robson is at the Etihad Stadium for this one, which kicks off at 5.30pm GMT.
