Rotherham United announce sacking of manager Alan Stubbs after four-month spell

Alan Stubbs has overseen just one victory in 13 Championship matches this season, and the last six have ended in defeat.

As a result of Rotherham sitting at the bottom of the league table the 45-year-old has lost his job at the New York Stadium.

Assistant manager John Doolan and first-team coach Andy Holden have also left the club with “immediate effect”.

Rotherham next game will be against Reading at home on Saturday.
