Alexis Sanchez, 27, has been a key component in Arsene Wenger’s team this season, having scored eight goals and producing six assists since the campaign kicked off in August.

There are fears that Arsenal’s campaign could hit a snag, though, after Sanchez was sent for tests after feeling pain during this morning’s training session with his national side.

A statement from the Chilean team confirmed that Sanchez has a “low grade muscular injury” and will remain in Santiago to undergo treatment.
