Juventus have dominated Italian football in recent years but have not won Europe’s biggest prize since 1996.

The Old Lady were beaten in the 2014-15 final by Barcelona, but Ronaldo – who helped Madrid to their 11th Champions League title last term – believes that they have all of the attributes to go the distance this time around.

“[Alvaro] Morata had a fantastic season, learned a lot in Italy, and improved as a footballer. He grew up as a player in a very tough competition,” Ronaldo told Marca .

“Of course [they can win the Champions League]. They have a fantastic team, just like their coach and stadium. Why not?”

Juve have won the Serie A title in each of the last five seasons and are top of the table again this term with 10 wins from 12 games.
