According to The Mirror, Huddersfield have been successful with a £10m offer for the 26-year-old midfielder, who has not played a minute of football for Manchester City.

In 2016, the North-West outfit signed him on a three-year deal from Melbourne City, but he was immediately sent out on loan to Huddersfield.

With City well-stocked in the middle of the pitch, it appears that Pep Guardiola has welcomed the opportunity to bring in a big fee for a player who is unproven in the top flight.

The Australian international made a total of 51 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring four goals.
