NFF refuses to accept FIFA’s new date for Super Eagles clash against Cameroon

The world football governing body FIFA, has moved the date of Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in Uyo from September 1 to August 30, because of issues bordering on television broadcast.

Nigeria have, however, not responded to the new date communicated to them last week, as they hope to persuade FIFA not to move the match backward.

NFF sources say a fresh request will be sent, for the game to go on September 1.

It is expected to be submitted to FIFA later this week for consideration.
