Jens Lehmann returns to Arsenal as first team coach

Lehmann spent a combined five years with Arsenal and was a part of the famous Invincibles side in 2003-04, the last time that the North Londoners lifted the Premier League trophy.

The 47-year-old confirmed his pending appointment to German newspaper Die Welt on Wednesday morning, and just a few hours later he was pictured at the club’s London Colney training facility.

Arsenal have already strengthened their backroom squad, hiring a new high-performance director in Darren Burgess to oversee the fitness regime and a contract negotiator in Huss Fahmy.
