Villarreal striker Roberto Soldado agrees terms on reported £4.5m move to Fenerbahce

Soldado is due to arrive in Istanbul and undergo a medical in the next 24 hours, before a deal is officially finalised.

Both teams have confirmed that an agreement is in place for the Spaniard, who scored nine league goals in his two years with Villarreal upon joining from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 32-year-old, who also boasts Real Madrid and Valencia on his CV, only managed 10 appearances in La Liga last term due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Fenerbahce have also brought in Nabil Dirar and Mathieu Valbuena this summer for a combined fee of roughly £5.5m, while Carlos Kameni and Mauricio Isla have joined as free agents.
