Brazilian star Marcelo extends his contract at Real Madrid until 2022

In a short statement issued on Wednesday, Los Blancos said: “Real Madrid C. F. and Marcelo have agreed to extend the player’s contract, which will see him remain at the club until 30 June 2022.


“Thursday, at 2pm, Marcelo will appear before the media in the press room of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.”

The 29-year-old has been with the club for the past 11 seasons and remains a key part of current manager Zinedine Zidane ‘s first-team plans.


During his time in the Spanish capital, the Brazilian has made 414 appearances in all competitions for Madrid, winning four La Liga titles, three Champions Leagues and two Copas del Rey.
