England to play friendlies with both Germany, Brazil

England confirmed their place in Russia with a 1-0 victory over Slovenia on Thursday, with Harry Kane ‘s 94th-minute goal eventually sealing the win in North London.

The Football Association had already tentatively arranged for two of world football’s superpowers to come to Wembley Stadium in November and with Gareth Southgate’s team progression now confirmed, the governing body are now in a position to formally reveal the two glamour fixtures.


On Friday, November 10, world champions Germany will be the visitors to the national stadium before Brazil line up against England four days later on November 14.

Both matches come less than three weeks before the nations find out their opposition for the World Cup, which will be staged in June and July.
