Arsene Wenger was often accused of being too soft on his star-studded squad but it appears his successor Unai Emery will not be as easy going if his pre-season training regime is anything to go by. The Spaniard has spent the past fortnight running the rule over the squad he inherited from the long-serving Frenchman, pushing his players to the limits ahead of his first match in charge against Borehamwood on Saturday. Aubameyang, the club’s record signing from Borussia Dortmund who scored 10 goals in 13 Premier League appearances following his January move, was clearly finding the going tough earlier this week when he tweeted a picture of himself looking exhausted with the caption ‘damn bro help me !!! I’m dead’.
