Former Chelsea defender Yuri Zhirkov says interim manager Guus Hiddink has calmed the crisis at Stamford Bridge.
Previous boss Jose Mourinho was sacked with the club 16th in the table and having lost nine of their 16 matches, whereupon Hiddink took over. The Blues are now 13th and unbeaten in six league games under Hiddink.

“I have no doubt that once he took over, the atmosphere at Chelsea became so much better and more relaxed than it had been,” Zhirkov said. “With Guus, Chelsea will ride out the crisis and next season will be back at the top of the table.”
