Super Eagles midfielder netted the equalising goal as Leicester City forced Chelsea to a 1-1 draw in their Premier League clash at the Stamford Bridge, reports Completesports.com.
The hosts made a vibrant start to the match and deserved the lead when Mason Mount gave it to them after only seven minutes, with the English man robbing Ndidi of possession of the ball before scoring.
Leicester looked like an entirely different team after the interval and equalised through Ndidi who made amends his earlier howler by nodding home James Maddison’s corner kick in the 57th minute. But The Foxes mised a string of chances to condemn Chelsea to a third consecutive defeat in the early stage of the new campaign.
The result leaves the home side with just one point from their opening two league outings under Lampard, while it is back-to-back draws for Leicester at the start of the new campaign.
Leicester City’s Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho was benched for the entire 90 minutes of the game.
Iheanacho is yet to make an appearance for the Foxes this season.
