Dominika Cibulkova triumphed 6-3 7-5 in Austria to seal a third tournament win of 2016 and become the seventh player to secure her spot in the WTA Finals in Singapore.
The Slovakian did not drop a set in the tournament and rarely looked troubled in the opener against her 62nd-ranked opponent.
A solitary break did the job in that set, but Golubic, who won her first WTA title in Gstaad this year, was more of a threat in the second.
Indeed, the birthday girl had four set points, but fluffed her lines, was promptly broken and fell to defeat in one hour and 45 minutes.
